A Message From Moderator Simon

Rev. Kenneth L. Simon, The Seventeeth Moderator

Theme:   United, Equipped and Empowered to Serve

Ephesians 4:11-13(KJV)

And he gave some Apostles, and some Prophets and some Evangelists,  and some Pastors and Teachers.

For the perfecting of the Saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Til we all come in the Unity of Faith, and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

Rev. Kenneth L. Simon

Moderator’s Mandate

That ministers would be motivated to encourage their local church to faithfully support the Northern Ohio Baptist District Association.  It is crystal clear that the Association cannot thrive without the presence and participation of the pastors.

The uplifted assignment of the Northern Ohio Baptist District Association is to promote missions and to contribute generously to missionary conventions and opportunities both foreign and domestic.

We are concerned about the geographical areas where we meet, therefore, we will extend the mandate as set forth in Matthew 28:16-20 and Acts 1:8 as we “wear out our soles for more souls.”

The major focus of the Northern Ohio Baptist District Association is to teach, instruct, guide and empower the constituents toward the most excellent way!  With this in mind scholarships will be given each year to deserving students who meet the criteria set forth by the Scholarship Committee.
